July 28 - Banff

To-day is my sister's birthday. Happy Birthday Donna!!

I started to put in the date in the title, so we know what day it is. Being retired one day runs into another.

One more story about the Road to the Sun. The motel owner in Fort Macleod said whenever he and his wife take that road, his wife gets in the back seat of their car with a pillow and puts a towel over her face for the whole trip!!

Today we left Fort Macleod Alberta at 11AM and arrived in Banff Alberta at 2PM. We still think that Banff is the prettiest city in Canada, because every where you look there is a wonderful view. We are staying at the Inns of Banff, a great room with a beautiful view of the mountains and a wide variety of wild life

We had lunch in downtown Banff. We came back to the hotel and went to the hot tub. The largest hot tub we have ever seen, even bigger than The Sea Mist hot tub were Brian & I met 20 years ago. The view from the hot tub here is an amazing view of the mountains.

Tonight we plan on going shopping in all the little shops along the main street.. Brian is just thrilled.

Tomorrow we are off to Penticton British Columbia to do some wine touring.
