Day 50 - Sept 7 - Last day in Napa

We have enjoyed our stay in Napa. The wine is excellent, good weather and food delicious.

Today we went to three wineries in Napa Valley - Black Stallion, Stags Leap, and Plumpjack. Plumpjack was the first winery to use screw tops instead of corks. They claim that their wine actually ages better with the screw top. We then went to three in Sonoma Valley area - Schug Carneros, The Larson Family, and Nicholson Winery.

We had a great time wine tasting but Brian ended up with a headache this evening. I think it's because he was not drinking anything between tastings and I was drinking lots of water.

My favorite winery was still Robert Mondavi. Due to my friend Ruth McSherry who got me hooked on it. Brian's favorite winery was Plumpjacks Winery. We both agree that the most friendly and best salesman was at Nicholson Winery.

Tomorrow on to Reno and Lake Taho
