Day 14 - August 2/08 - Went to a Birthday Party

We slept well last night, I guess because we kept up with our grandchildren yesterday! So this morning Kari woke us up at 9AM said we have to leave in 1 hour. We were invited to a Birthday Party for Tyla, the daughter of one of Kari's public school friend's Sheena. Tyla is a year older than McKenna. Sheena lived with us during her last year of High School. It was good to see Sheena, who is pregnant and due in one month, and her partner Thomas and Tyla.

The birthday party was in New Westminster which is an hour drive, but we all had a fun time.















Brian spent time with Liam during the afternoon. Liam had a juice, cookie and carrot stand out front of there apartment building. Liam made over $40.00 because everyone is coming here to English Bay for the fireworks.















We went to beach for supper. It has lots of fast food booths set up for the fireworks tonight.

What a show the fireworks were. It was the grand finale of the two week competition. Canada won the judge's aware and China won the peoples choice award.











































Tomorrow we are on the road again with Kari and Jonah and their family as we travel to California to meet Ken and Mel and their family. Next stop Portland Or.
