Day 23 - August 11 - San Diego - Fun Day Hanging Out With The Animals

We were packed in the cars and off to the Zoo at 10AM. We all had a great time at the Zoo. We especially enjoyed watching the koalas, pandas, grizzly, polar bears, gorillas, monkeys, chimps, elephants and two hippos were having fun mating. The day flew by so fast. We took the Zoo bus around to make sure we did miss any animals. The Zoo is very hilly so we were up and down the hills a lot and got lots of exercise today. Good time was had by all!

San Diego's zoo is one of the most scenic zoos we've ever visited. They are equally proud of their trees, grasses and flowers. They try to make the vegetation around the compounds mimic the place where the animals originate from.






There was a long line up to see the Panda bears. The zoo has 3 bears captivated everyone with their cuteness.



Jase’s favorite animal was either the Lion because it roars or the elephant. McKenna’s favorite animal was the Panda bear. The gift shop gave her a toy panda and she hugged it most of the day. Liam’s favorite animal was the Doinker because it is fun to say. Liam had a lot of fun drawing pictures and we’ll post some tomorrow after Brian recharges the camera battery. Of course Cooper loved it all.

We purchased family pictures with Liam holding a spider. We’ll post this tomorrow also.

We returned to the Orr’s Sandcastle at 8PM. This location is great for the Zoo (only 15minutes away) Seaworld (5 minutes) Airport (10 minutes) Legoland (35 minutes) and Anaheim (1 Hour 30 minutes) -So we are close to everything! It’s ideal place for a vacation for a family of 10. It’s a beautiful beach house with everything we need linens to beach towels, beach toys, bikes, boogie boards, This place was built in 2006 and Melanie loves the decor. Appliances and furniture is very new.
