Day 25 - August 13 - A Fun Day in Legoland

We left Orr Sandcastle at 10:30AM in San Diego and traveled north to visit Legoland in Carlsbad. It was a wonderful day for! Legoland is an outstanding amusement park with attractions for all ages. Liam and Jonah were especially excited as they are into Lego in a big way.

It is totally amazing all the Lego buildings, animals, boats, cars, star wars characters and people. There was Mini Land which had the main cities of the USA. New York city took over 200,000 legos to build. It was fun to check out all the cities we have visited. New York, Washington, Las Vegas, New Orleans and especially San Francisco because we had just visited this city, they even had Pier 39 with the sea lions and the carousel. The Washington structure came complete with a Presidential motorcade. The structures were so realistic it seems that we were visiting Mt. Rushmore again

We all had fun on all the rides, rides for all ages. The two 3 year olds Jase and Mckenna had lots of fun on the rides. Of course Liam, the 8 year old, said he was living a dream, he loved everything from the Lego structures to all the rides. It especially fun to watch him as he picked up on the smallest details. I’m sure he is going to be able to translate what he saw into some of his own creations.

All three of them enjoyed driving cars rides and they all received their driving license. Even the Adults especially Kari (big kid at heart) enjoyed the rides. We all had lots of fun on a water gun boat ride, of course we were all soaked.!

We were amazed at all the fun things to do. We would definitely recommend Legoland for any family coming for a vacation in Southern California.

Tomorrow Brian, Kari, Melanie and I are heading to Tijuana Mexico to do some shopping.
